Birth Photography?

Hello Mountain Bounders!  Please bear with me, while I find my groove of blogging, and come up with some readable content.  It may take a bit…be patient, I promise it will all be worth it!:)

I just have to share with you a call I received  the other day while thrift shopping (another mad love of mine).

While perusing vintage crockery, my cell started buzzing.  It was a call from a past client that received a shoot back in the fall.  She is expecting her first baby this summer and is looking for a…(wait for it)… birth photographer!  (Holy excitement!)

These two love-birds are having a BABY!!

T+T = Bambino numero uno!

I was expecting to hear her say she wanted a maternity shoot in the mountains, or perhaps a newborn shoot (she’s looking for these too) but my jaw hit the floor of that dusty thrift shop when she asked me to be in the room to document the arrival of their first born child.

Mountain Bound is all about the mountains, nature and wilderness, so we joked about her having the baby in the bush, for that true ‘Mountain Bound’ feel, but we finally agreed that the hospital, was by far the better choice.

I’m thrilled, honoured and beyond excited to capture these moments!  I cannot wait to meet the creation of T+T, and look forward to sharing with you, something brand new from Mountain Bound.  (brand new, like, very first breath of life new!)

Did you have your birthing experience photographed?  I’d love to hear about it if you did!  Please leave me a comment on your experience, or if you didn’t but wish you had,  I’d love to hear about that too!

Please post your comments below!:)
